Pink Eaglets had an exciting and active week as we continued our All About Sports and Games unit! To kick things off, we celebrated Wear Something Sporty Day, and everyone looked fantastic in their sporty outfits. It was a fun way to get into the spirit of our new topic.
Throughout the week, we explored a variety of sports from around the world by watching videos and discussing the equipment, rules, and skills needed for each one. The children enjoyed sharing what sports they had tried before and learning about new ones they had never seen.
One of the highlights of the week was creating our own mini football (foosball) games. The children painted boxes to make colorful playing fields before assembling them with sticks and balls. They were excited to see their creations come to life and had lots of fun testing them out with their classmates.
We also headed to the park to practice on the horizontal bars. The children challenged themselves to swing, hang, and move across the bars, showing great determination while developing their strength, coordination, and confidence.
For Show and Tell, each child introduced their favorite sport to the class. They practiced speaking clearly in front of their friends while explaining why they enjoy that sport. It was wonderful to hear everyone share their interests and to see the class asking thoughtful questions and cheering each other on.
It has been a fantastic week full of creativity, teamwork, and active learning. We look forward to discovering even more sports and games in the coming weeks!
