Spring School at Kakuozan International Preschool is always a fun-filled event! This year we celebrated all things Spring, Easter and English during our 2 week Spring School program. Children painted Easter eggs, made rainbow crafts, did fun scavenger hunts and of course everyone’s favorite… Easter Egg hunts!! Our next big program will be Summer School. Come and join us for 3 weeks of fun soon.

Congratulations to ur graduating class of 2026!! We are so proud of all your achievements and we wish you all the best in elementary school. Many thanks to our parents for your support over the years. We will miss you all so much.

Our Eaglets, Parrots and Hummingbirds students enjoyed their last Nature and Marathon eventat Heiwa Park last month. It was bittersweet as it was the last time our graduating Eaglets students could play with their friends and classmates. It was fun running, playing tag, flying kites and having picnic lunches together.

At our school, we have a school lunch service, and some children also bring lunch from home. Everyone is always excited to see what is in their lunchbox. 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年長Eagletsクラスの子どもたちは、名古屋市の千種警察署へ社会見学に出かけました。 到着すると、警察官の皆さまがあたたかく迎えてくださり、子どもたちはワクワクした表情に。警察官のお仕事について、「困っている人を助けること」「地域の安全を守ること」など、大切な役割をわかりやすく教えていただきました。 特に盛り上がったのは、警察官の制服を着せていただき、本物の白バイの前で写真撮影をした体験です。ライトや無線機に目を輝かせながら、「これは何ですか？」「どうやって使うの？」と積極的に質問する姿がとても印象的でした。真剣に話を聞く姿から、子どもたちの成長も感じられました。 また、「困ったときの助けの求め方」や「地域で警察官がどのようにサポートしているか」など、防犯・安全についても学ぶことができました。実際の場所で本物に触れる体験は、子どもたちにとって何よりも心に残る学びです。 今回の校外保育を通して、✔ 地域社会への理解✔ 防犯意識・安全意識✔ 質問する力と聞く力✔ 本物体験による探究心 を育む貴重な機会となりました。 ご協力いただいた千種警察署の皆さまに心より感謝申し上げます。Eagletsクラスの子どもたちは、たくさんの発見と誇らしい気持ちを胸に、笑顔いっぱいで園に戻ってきました。これからも地域とつながる学びを大切にしていきます。✨ Our Eaglets class students enjoyed an exciting mini field trip to Chikusa Police Station. 今週、覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは子どもたちがとびきり楽しみにしていたイベント「ファニーソックスデー」を開催しました。登園した瞬間から、教室は色とりどりの靴下と子どもたちの笑い声でいっぱいに！ レインボーカラーの靴下、かわいい動物柄、思いきりミスマッチのペア、ストライプや水玉、スーパーヒーロー柄、ふわふわ素材のものまで…それぞれが自慢の“特別な一足”を嬉しそうに見せてくれました。モーニングサークルでは、「どんな色？」「どんな柄かな？」と観察しながら発表タイム。お友だちや先生に見てもらうことで、自信と表現力もぐんと育まれました。 さらに、クラスでは「ファニーソックパレード」も開催！まるでランウェイモデルのように歩きながら、自分の靴下を披露しました。教室は拍手と歓声で大盛り上がり。お友だちを応援する姿からは、思いやりの気持ちも感じられました。 遊びの中で自然に育つ✔ 自己表現力✔ 英語での語彙力（色・柄・形の表現）✔ 自信とコミュニケーション力 ご家庭の皆さまのご協力のおかげで、子どもたちにとって忘れられない楽しい一日となりました。素敵な靴下のご準備、ありがとうございました。 これからも笑顔あふれる保育の様子をお届けしていきます。 This week we had one of the silliest and happiest days at our preschool ～ Funny Socks Day! From the moment the children arrived, our classroom was full of colors, patterns, and lots of giggles. 先週、覚王山インターナショナルプリスクール（Kakuozan International Preschool）の子どもたちは、長野県の駒ヶ根スキー場で毎年恒例の「スキー＆そりトリップ」を楽しみました。 バスに乗り込んだ瞬間から、子どもたちはワクワクが止まりません。お友だちと英語でおしゃべりをしながら、冬の大自然へ向かう特別な時間。到着すると、一面に広がる銀世界に歓声が上がりました。 🛷 そり遊びで育つチャレンジ精神と協調性 広いゲレンデでは、何度も何度もそりで滑り降り、笑顔と笑い声があふれていました。スピードにドキドキしながらも挑戦する姿はとても頼もしく、子どもたちのチャレンジ精神の成長を感じる瞬間でした。 お友だちとそりをシェアしたり、「Let’s go together!」と声をかけ合ったりする姿からは、協調性やコミュニケーション力も自然と育まれていることが伝わってきます。 ⛄ 雪あそびで広がる創造力と英語表現 雪のお城を協力して作る子、ふわふわの新雪に寝転んでスノーエンジェルを作る子、それぞれが思い思いに冬を満喫。自然の中で五感を使いながら遊ぶ体験は、創造力や探究心を大きく伸ばします。 先生やお友だちとのやり取りもすべて英語。実体験と結びついた英語表現は、教室の中だけでは得られない「生きた英語力」へとつながります。 🍱 たくさん遊んだあとは、ほっとひと息 たっぷり体を動かした後は、バスの中で温まりながらスナック＆ランチタイム。「It was so fun!」「I went so fast!」と、楽しそうに一日を振り返る姿がとても印象的でした。 疲れてはいるけれど、心は満たされた表情。友情・挑戦・達成感がぎゅっと詰まった一日となりました。 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは、英語教育だけでなく、自然体験・季節行事・体験型学習を大切にしています。今回のスキー＆そり遠足も、子どもたちにとって「楽しかった！」だけで終わらない、心と体の成長につながる大切な経験になりました。 来年の冬も、またひと回り成長したみんなとこの景色を見られることを楽しみにしています。 Last week, students at Kakuozan International Preschool enjoyed a wonderful adventure at Komagane Ski Field for our annual Ski & Sledding Trip! 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのダックリングス（2・3歳児クラス）は、心あたたまるバレンタイン制作に取り組みました。 ピンクのハートに、ドットマーカーでひとつひとつ丁寧に色をのせていく子どもたち。先生のやさしいサポートのもと、指先をしっかり使いながら、集中して取り組む姿がとても印象的でした。仕上げには、かわいいステッカーや特別なお写真を飾り付け。それぞれの個性が光る、世界にひとつだけの“愛いっぱい”の作品が完成しました。 楽しみながら 指先の発達（微細運動能力） や 色彩感覚 を育むことができる、2・3歳児にぴったりのアクティビティ。ご家庭でもぜひ作品を見ながら、がんばったポイントをたくさん褒めてあげてくださいね。 Our Ducklings (2–3 year olds) have been hard at work creating the sweetest Valentine’s craft! This special activity was a wonderful way for our little learners to explore creativity while also practicing important fine motor skill💓 Using dot markers, the children carefully added bright, colorful dots to their pink paper hearts. 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少クラス（Hummingbirds Class）では、Bobby Lynn Maslen 作の『Pip and Pog』を楽しみました。 ストーリーを聞き、リーディングをした後は、Dotとねこのイラスト制作に挑戦。にこにこ笑顔のDotや、帽子をかぶったDot、しま模様を増やしたねこなど、子どもたちの想像力があふれる作品がたくさん生まれました。 英語絵本の時間は、語彙力やリスニング力を育てるだけでなく、「自分なりに表現する力」も伸ばしていきます。キャラクターをよく観察し、記憶し、自由にアレンジする姿から、大きな成長を感じました。 一人ひとりの個性が輝く、素敵なアートタイムとなりました。 The Hummingbirds Class (3-4 years of age) dived into the world of Pip and Pog, by Bobby Lynn Maslen. After listening and reading the story, the kids got creative and drew their own pictures of Dot and the cat. Some added big, bright smiles, others gave Dot funny hats or extra stripes on the cat. Every drawing was full of imagination! It was wonderful to see how they remembered the characters and brought them to life in their own way!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年中クラス（Parrot Class）では、鉄棒での前回りに挑戦しました。 しっかりとバーを握り、タイミングを合わせてスイングし、くるりと前回り。すぐに成功する子もいれば、何度も挑戦してコツをつかむ子もいましたが、全員が最後まであきらめずにチャレンジしました。 体操活動を通して育まれるのは、体幹やバランス感覚だけではありません。「やってみよう！」という挑戦する気持ちや、「できた！」という達成感も大きな成長のひとつです。 お友達同士で「You can do it!」と声を掛け合う姿も見られ、心の成長も感じられる時間となりました。レッスンの最後には、誇らしげな笑顔がたくさん見られました。 The Parrot Class (年中クラス) practiced forward rolls on the bar. Kids took turns gripping the bar, swinging, and rolling over with focus and determination. Some went for it right away, while others tried a few times before nailing it, but everyone gave it their best shot. It was great to see their confidence grow with each attempt and the way they encouraged one another along the way. By the end, each student had made progress, and the lesson ended with lots of proud smiles! Good job!!!～
