This year KIPS students were very excited to go to Kidzania. We all met up early and caught a tour bus to Hyogo Prefecture where the Kidzania Koshien is situated. It took us a few hours to get there, but we all enjoyed sitting with our friends, eating lunch, snacks and playing games on the bus. Kidzania is a fun, educational centre where children can explore and try out different jobs in real life settings. This year’s Summer School at KIPS was so much fun! The theme was “All About Nature” and the students enjoyed exploring different topics such as birds, rainbows and spiders. They even got to play with real earthworms and dissect flowers. We had a lot of fun cooking, singing, dancing, doing science experiments and crafts. Elementary students also went to Higashiyama Zoo, the Science Museum and Nagoya Aquarium for field trips and we all made many new friends. This month at KIPS preschool students are enjoying escaping the summer heat by having energetic water fights! Nearby Yokiso park is the perfect place for everyone to let off steam and cool down at the same time. Parrot and Eaglet classes joined together to hold exciting battles, as well as practicing road safety walking to and from the park.
