覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの1歳から2歳Hatchlingsクラスでは、今月のテーマ「スポーツとゲームを楽しもう！」のもと、さまざまな活動に取り組みました。子どもたちは遊びを通して、運動能力だけでなく、お友だちとの関わり方やコミュニケーション能力も楽しく育んでいます。

今月特に人気だったアクティビティの一つが、公園での外遊びです。広々とした環境の中で走ったり、登ったり、バランスを取ったりしながら、子どもたちは思いきり体を動かしました。こうした経験は、幼児期に大切な粗大運動能力や身体の協調性を育てるだけでなく、自信や挑戦する気持ち、そしてお友だちとの協力する力を伸ばす貴重な機会となっています。

また、スポーツとアートを組み合わせた「ボールペインティング」にも挑戦しました。絵の具をつけたボールを転がして作品を作る中で、子どもたちは色の変化やボールの動きを楽しみながら、創造力や探究心を発揮していました。手先を使う活動を通して、微細運動能力の発達にもつながっています。

先日開催された運動会の興奮は今も続いており、子どもたちは日々の活動の中でも積極的に体を動かしながら学びを楽しんでいます。スポーツやゲーム、戸外活動、そして創造的な遊びを通して、自信や自主性を育み、「学ぶことって楽しい！」という気持ちを大切に育てています。

私たちは、様々な活動を通して見られた子どもたちの成長やチームワーク、そして何事にも意欲的に取り組む姿をとても誇りに思っています。これからもHatchlingsクラスでは、子どもたちの好奇心を大切にしながら、たくさんの楽しい学びの冒険を続けていきます。

The Hatchlings class had a fantastic time exploring our monthly Preschool Course theme, “All About Sports and Games!” Through a variety of active and creative experiences, the children developed important physical, social, and communication skills while having fun with their friends.

One of the highlights of the month was spending time together at the park. Outdoor play provides valuable opportunities for young children to run, climb, balance, and explore their surroundings. These experiences help support gross motor development, coordination, confidence, and teamwork while encouraging children to build positive friendships.

To combine sports and creativity, the Hatchlings participated in a fun ball-painting activity. By rolling balls through paint and across paper, the children created unique artwork while exploring movement, colors, and cause and effect. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity, curiosity, and fine motor development.

Following the excitement of Sports Day, the children have continued to enjoy active play and movement-based learning. Through sports, games, outdoor adventures, and creative experiences, they are developing confidence, independence, and a love of learning in a fun and supportive environment.

We are so proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork, and growth the Hatchlings have shown throughout this theme and look forward to many more exciting learning adventures together!
