覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの1-2歳Hatchingsクラスの子供たちは毎日様々なことを学び成長しています。最近はサークルタイムでパラシュートを使って踊ったり歌ったりことと公園遊びが大好きです。公園ではどんぐりや葉っぱを拾い集め、それを使ってアートプロジェクトを行いました。また感情についても学んでいます。嬉しい、楽しい、悲しい、怒っているなど、顔の表情で感情を読み取ることができることを学びました。Good job Hatchlings! Hatchlings are busy learning and growing everyday! They love dancing and singing during Circle Time, moving and exercising with the parachute and playing in the park. This month Hatchlings students collected leaves and acorns from Shiroyama Park to use in an art project. They also loved learning about emotions and learning about the parts of the face. 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少Green Hummingbirdsクラスは「What happens when……?」と言うテーマに沿って粘土遊びを行いました。粘土を違う形に型取り、ちぎったり、丸めたりして動物や、自然にあるものを作りあげました。自分たちの作ったものをお友達や先生に見せ、楽しい時間を過ごしました。 The Green Hummingbirds class is exploring the theme, “What Happens When…?” They enjoyed using their clay and playdough to explore what happens when they mould clay into different shapes to create animals, shapes and nature scenes! It was fun to be creative and show our classmates and teachers what we made.

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少Ducklingsクラスが公園遊びが大好きです。どんぐりをたくさん集めたり、数を数えたりして集中して遊んでいます。また、シャボン玉を追いかけたり、土に穴を掘ったり、自分たちでいろいろ考えて自由に遊び回っています。来年はどんなふうに遊びが発展していくかとても楽しみです。 Ducklings loved playing at the park this year! Recently they really enjoyed searching and counting acorns. They also liked chasing after bubbles and digging in the dirt. What kind of fun activities can they play together next year?

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは名古屋市守山区にある守山小劇場でクリスマスコンサートを開催しました。年少前から年長までの子ども達は9月から一生懸命練習した歌やダンス、英語劇をこの日ご家族の皆さんに披露することができました。年長Eagletsクラスは「不思議の国のアリス」年中Partotsクラスは「レインボーフィッシュ」の劇をしました。子ども達全員が輝いていた一日でした。サポートいただきましたご家族の皆様ありがとうございました。 〈園長のお礼のスピーチを掲載します〉本日は覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのクリスマスコンサートにお越しいただき、誠にありがとうございました。本日は子どもたちが一生懸命練習してきた成果を、皆さまにお見せすることができました。ステージの上で元気いっぱいに頑張る姿、少し緊張しながらも精一杯取り組む姿、一つひとつが私たちにたくさんの感動と喜びを与えてくれました。本日のクリスマスコンサートが、子ども達にとっても、ご家族の皆さまにとっても心に残る素敵な思い出となれば嬉しく思います。クリスマスは、日々の忙しさを忘れ、大切な人たちとの時間を改めて感じることができる特別な季節です。どうか今日のコンサートで輝いていた子ども達の姿をずっと忘れないでいてください。子どもたちの成長をここまで支えてくださったご家族の皆さま、そして日々温かく見守り、励ましてくださるすべての方々に、心より感謝申し上げます。またこの日のために一生懸命子ども達を支えてくださった先生方やスタッフの皆様にも厚くお礼を申し上げます。これからも子どもたち一人ひとりが伸び伸びと成長し、それぞれの可能性を広げていけるよう、園一同力を尽くしてまいります。最後になりますが、どうぞ素敵なクリスマスをご家族皆様でお過ごしください。そして、新しい年が皆さまにとって素晴らしいものとなりますようお祈りしております。本日はありがとうございました。 Our annual Christmas Concert was held at the Moriyama Playhouse. It was a wonderful event and all the children were so excited to finally show off their months of hard work to everyone. Almost 300 families, relatives and friends joined us to cheer on and encourage the children this year! Ducklings and Hummingbirds danced to christmas songs, while the Parrots and Eaglets class students performed plays based on The Rainbow Fish and Alice in Wonderland. Thank you to everyone who attended and we wish you a happy holiday and Merry Christmas!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少Blue Hummingbirdsクラスは今月のテーマ「○○だったらどうなる？」のテーマに沿って、様々なお茶の定番ングにお湯を注いだらどうなるかと言う実験を行いました。まずはどんな匂いなのか、色はどういった色をしているのかを観察し、意見を言い合います。お湯を注ぐと、どんな色になるかなの質問に対して、青と赤になるとか、濃い緑色になるとか、様々な意見が飛びかいました。実際にお湯を注ぐと黄色や緑、ピンク色のお茶ができたときには歓声が上がりました｡物事を予想し、その予想とは全く違った結果が出たときにはびっくりしますね。 The Blue Hummingbirds Class children explored the theme of “What Happens When…?”, and enjoyed mixing water with different tea bags. What scents and colors did they smell and see? Children were fascinated by this science experiment using black, green and fruit tea!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少前Ducklingsクラスでは様々な感情について学びました。 “If You’re Happy and You Know It“の歌を歌い、幸せな感情、悲しいなどを学びました。またフエルトで作った様々な感情の顔を1つずつ観察し、先生が言った感情を指差すことができました。Good job Ducklings! Students in our Ducklings class learned about different emotions during class this month. Using felt faces and dancing to “If You’re Happy and You Know It“, they all enjoyed making emotions together. Their teachers helped them to pick facial features from felt and construct happy and sad faces. Good job Ducklings!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達は、毎月地震か火災の避難訓練を行っています。また年に2回保護者の方々にも参加していただき、引き取り訓練も実施しています。毎月トレーニングをすることによって、万が一に備えることがとても大切になります。スクールの子ども達は赤色(緑)の上靴を履いていて、避難した先でもスクールトレーナー以外に足元を見れば当スクールの生徒だとわかるようになっています。また避難時に一度で子ども達の水筒を外に持ち出せるように、水筒はバスケットにまとめて入れてあったり、災害に備え様々な工夫をスクールでは考えています。 Every month students at Kakuozan International Preschool do either an earthquake drill or a fire drill. This month we simulated a real fire by evacuating the school. Students could listen carefully and quietly to their teachers as they all filed outside one by one and covered their mouths to protect against smoke. Good job everyone!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの今月のテーマは「○○だったらどうなる？」。年中Parrotsクラスでは椅子やパラシュート、おもちゃなど様々な材料を使って独自の砦をデザインし作り上げました。子供たちは、壁や屋根を一緒に作るのにアイディアを出し合っていました。その時の彼らの英語力の高さと、リーダーシップには驚かされました。そして全員で協力をしあって一緒に作業ができました。屋根の下にお店も作り、一緒に住むまねをし、最高に楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。 The theme for Preschool Course this month is “What Happens When…?” 「〇〇だったらどうなる?」Parrots class students worked together to design and build their own play fort using random materials. It was so much fun to work together in teams to build walls, the roof, make shops and then pretend to live under it!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年長Eagletsクラスと年中Parrotsクラスのランニングプログラムの様子です。スクールでは毎週1回、子ども達は朝かけっこをしてから登校します。体力づくりだけが目的ではなく、1番になる目標を持つこと、お友達を応援すること、あきらめずに努力することなど、ランニングプログラムを通して様々なことを子ども達は学んでいきます。 Our Eaglets (5-6 years) and Parrots (4-5 years) classes have a Running Program and outside play together. At the local field we practice running laps and sprints together before going to Shiroyama Park next door and playing freeze tag, run around and play on the slide. Everyone loves moving their bodies and having fun together!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのウィンタースクールが始まりました！子ども達は、クリスマスツリーやスノードームを作ったりトートバッグに色付けをしたり、クリスマスカードを作ったり、みんなオリジナルの作品を作るのに目を輝かせながら夢中になって作業をしていました。そして待ちに待ったサンタクロース！スクールに優しいサンタクロースがやってきました。んなサンタクロースからプレゼントをもらい大喜びでした Winter started off with a bang this year! We met Santa and played many fun games together. The older prschoolers enjoyed the present exchange with Santa and decorated their own Christmas tree ornament and tote bag. Our Koala toddler class decorated a tree with stickers and made a christmas card. What kind of fun awaits tomorrow?
