覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達は、毎月地震か火災の避難訓練を行っています。また年に2回保護者の方々にも参加していただき、引き取り訓練も実施しています。毎月トレーニングをすることによって、万が一に備えることがとても大切になります。スクールの子ども達は赤色(緑)の上靴を履いていて、避難した先でもスクールトレーナー以外に足元を見れば当スクールの生徒だとわかるようになっています。また避難時に一度で子ども達の水筒を外に持ち出せるように、水筒はバスケットにまとめて入れてあったり、災害に備え様々な工夫をスクールでは考えています。 Every month students at Kakuozan International Preschool do either an earthquake drill or a fire drill. This month we simulated a real fire by evacuating the school. Students could listen carefully and quietly to their teachers as they all filed outside one by one and covered their mouths to protect against smoke. Good job everyone!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの今月のテーマは「○○だったらどうなる？」。年中Parrotsクラスでは椅子やパラシュート、おもちゃなど様々な材料を使って独自の砦をデザインし作り上げました。子供たちは、壁や屋根を一緒に作るのにアイディアを出し合っていました。その時の彼らの英語力の高さと、リーダーシップには驚かされました。そして全員で協力をしあって一緒に作業ができました。屋根の下にお店も作り、一緒に住むまねをし、最高に楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。 The theme for Preschool Course this month is “What Happens When…?” 「〇〇だったらどうなる?」Parrots class students worked together to design and build their own play fort using random materials. It was so much fun to work together in teams to build walls, the roof, make shops and then pretend to live under it!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年長Eagletsクラスと年中Parrotsクラスのランニングプログラムの様子です。スクールでは毎週1回、子ども達は朝かけっこをしてから登校します。体力づくりだけが目的ではなく、1番になる目標を持つこと、お友達を応援すること、あきらめずに努力することなど、ランニングプログラムを通して様々なことを子ども達は学んでいきます。 Our Eaglets (5-6 years) and Parrots (4-5 years) classes have a Running Program and outside play together. At the local field we practice running laps and sprints together before going to Shiroyama Park next door and playing freeze tag, run around and play on the slide. Everyone loves moving their bodies and having fun together!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのウィンタースクールが始まりました！子ども達は、クリスマスツリーやスノードームを作ったりトートバッグに色付けをしたり、クリスマスカードを作ったり、みんなオリジナルの作品を作るのに目を輝かせながら夢中になって作業をしていました。そして待ちに待ったサンタクロース！スクールに優しいサンタクロースがやってきました。んなサンタクロースからプレゼントをもらい大喜びでした Winter started off with a bang this year! We met Santa and played many fun games together. The older prschoolers enjoyed the present exchange with Santa and decorated their own Christmas tree ornament and tote bag. Our Koala toddler class decorated a tree with stickers and made a christmas card. What kind of fun awaits tomorrow?

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達はクリスマスコンサート本番に向けて一生懸命歌やダンス、劇の練習をしています。年少前，年少クラスのダンスの可愛らしさに先生達も目を細め、年中，年長の劇では言えなかったセリフが言えるようになり、お友達のセリフも覚え子ども達はどんどん成長していくのを感じます。ドレスリハーサルも行い本番までもう少し！皆様本番を楽しみにしていてください！ Children practiced so hard this year for our annual #christmasconcert From Ducklings up to our Eaglets, we practiced our group dances, plays and class dances every day! Thank you so much to our parents who supported and prepared wonderful costumes. Our dress rehearsals helped our students to dance and perform together🎄

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのねんmちょうEagletsクラスは社会見学で千種警察署を訪れました。警察官の仕事について学び、どのように地域の安全を守ってるかを知ることができました。質問もたくさんできました。警察官の制服を着せてもらい、マスコットのコノハけいぶにも会いみんな大喜びでした。Eaglets students were so lucky to visit the Chikusa Police Station for a social studies field trip! Police officers explained their jobs and how they helped the community. Students enjoyed dressing up in uniforms, ask questions, and meet the police mascot. It was so much fun!!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年長Eagletsクラスと年少Hummingbirdsクラスは一緒に公園に行き、虫や葉っぱ探したり，遊具で一緒に遊びました。年長の子ども達が年下の子ども達に鬼ごっこの仕方を推しててくれました。英語では鬼ごっこをPlay Tagと言います。みんな楽しそうでした！Eaglets and Hummingbirds play at the　park together and enjoy searching for bugs and leaves,　and playing on the slide. The older Eaglets students show Hummingbirds how to play tag together!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールは年に3回マラソン大会を行っています。千種区にある平和公園のメタセコイア広場で約1キロ年少〜年長クラスの子ども達が走りますよう身体能力だけではなく、諦めない気持ち，お友達を応援する気持ちも養います。泣きそうでも、くじけそうでも最後まで諦めずに頑張る子ども達のこの経験はきっと将来力になると信じています。Great job everyone!マラソン大会後は自然の中でゆっくりのびのび過ごし楽しい1日となりました。 Hummingbirds, Parrots and Eaglets enjoyed a fun day outdoors playing in nature, running a marathon and exploring Heiwa Park.

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのハロウィンパーティーは最高のハロウィンパーティー！子ども達はなりたいものやキャラクターになって登校してくれました。先生達もこの日は力が入ります！この日は一日中パーティー，クッキングやクラフト，ゲームにフェイスペイントと楽しい時間を過ごしました。ママ，パパ達も仮装をして仮装行列に参加してくださり、ありがとうございました！Halloween was a fun, spooky and crazy time at KIPS! Thank you to all the parents for preparing their child’s costume! We hope that everyone had a SPOOKTACULAR time!

敬老の日〜感謝を伝える〜覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達は敬老の日が近いにで祖父母に手作りのプレゼントを作りメッセージを書きました。一つ一つ全部自分で作ったプレゼント，おじいちゃん，おばあちゃん喜んでくれるね！いつも子ども達とママ，パパをサポートしてくださりありがとうございます Look what we made for Grandparent’s Day! Preschool students enjoyed creating their own cards and gifts for their grandparents and loved ones. Children could paint, cut and decorate their own presents and were so excited to give them away!
