覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは今週は年長Eagletsクラスと年少前Ducklingsクラスが一緒に公園遊びを楽しみました。 元気いっぱいに走り回るDucklingsさんたち。その様子を見ながら、Eagletsさんたちは「こうやって遊ぶんだよ」と優しく教えてあげる姿が見られました。 ブランコやすべり台、追いかけっこなど、公園には笑い声があふれ、自然と協力し合う姿がたくさん見られました。 異年齢保育ならではの魅力は、「教えてもらう経験」と「教えてあげる経験」の両方があること。年上の子は思いやりやリーダーシップを育み、年下の子は安心感の中で挑戦することができます。 年齢の壁を越えてつながる子どもたちの姿は、とても心温まる光景でした。 This week our Eaglets and Ducklings children played together at the park. The little Ducklings zipped around with endless energy, while the Eaglets showed their younger friends how to play big kid games! Swings, slides, and lots of laughter filled the air as they played together, helping each other and making up games along the way. It was so heartwarming to see how naturally the younger and older kids connected—curiosity, giggles, and teamwork bridging the age gap. 🌞

今週、覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは、日本の伝統行事「節分」を英語で楽しくお祝いしました。 季節の変わり目に福を呼び込む大切な行事である節分。子どもたちは、ストーリーや歌、体験型アクティビティを通して、楽しく文化を学びました。「Go away, ogre!（鬼は外！）」「Welcome good luck!（福は内！）」といった英語で鬼を迎える準備OK そして、子どもたちが心待ちにしていた“鬼”がスクールに登場！びっくりしながらも、勇気を出して「Go away, ogre!」と元気に声を出し、豆まき（※安全な手作り豆）を楽しみました。 今回の鬼の訪問は、年齢に合わせて怖くなりすぎないよう配慮されたプログラム。最初はドキドキしていた子どもたちも、すぐに笑顔いっぱいに。文化体験を通して「勇気」や「挑戦する気持ち」も育まれる、貴重な時間となりました。 当校では、日本の伝統文化を大切にしながら、英語教育と組み合わせたカリキュラムも行っています。行事を“ただ体験する”だけでなく、英語で表現し、自分の言葉として発信する力を育てることを大切にしています。 This week, our preschoolers enjoyed celebrating Setsubun, a traditional Japanese event that welcomes good fortune and marks the change of seasons. 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールではみんなが楽しみにしているPark Day（公園デー）でした！たくさんの笑顔と笑い声に包まれ、子どもたちは思いきり走り、探検し、お友だちと一緒に高くブランコをこいで大はしゃぎでした✨ 屋外あそびは、ただ楽しいだけではありません。走る・登る・バランスをとるといった動きは、体力や筋力、バランス感覚の発達を促します。 また、お友だちと順番を守ったり、一緒に遊びを工夫したりすることで、自然と協調性やコミュニケーション力も育まれます。 自然の中でのびのびと過ごす時間は、子どもたちの心を解放し、自己肯定感や挑戦する気持ちを高めてくれる大切な学びの時間です。 これからも安全に配慮しながら、英語環境の中でのアクティブな外遊び・運動あそび・自然体験を大切にしていきます。 次の公園アドベンチャーもどうぞお楽しみに🌳 Our preschoolers had a wonderful time visiting the park for some outdoor play! The children were so excited to run, explore, and enjoy the fresh air with their friends. 今月、覚王山インターナショナルスクールの年長から年少Eaglets・Parrots・Hummingbirdsクラスでは「Show and Tell（ショーアンドテル）」の活動として、お気に入りの英語絵本をスクールに持ってきてもらいました。 子どもたちは、大好きなストーリーや登場人物について、そして「どうしてこの本が好きなのか」を一人ひとり自分の言葉で発表しました。少し緊張しながらも、誇らしそうに本を見せてくれる姿がとても印象的でした。 Show and Tellは、英語でのスピーキング力・表現力・発表力を育てる大切な学びの時間です。人前で話す経験を重ねることで自信がつき、「英語で伝えることって楽しい！」という気持ちが自然と育まれていきます。また、お友だちの発表を聞くことでリスニング力や思いやりの心も養われます。 英語絵本に親しむことは、語彙力の向上だけでなく、読書習慣や想像力を育てる大切なステップです。今回の活動を通して、子どもたちの英語への興味・読書への愛情・自己表現の力がさらに広がったことを嬉しく思います。 ご家庭でのご協力、本当にありがとうございました。これからもお子さまの「英語が好き！」という気持ちを大切に育ててまいります。 Every month, our Eaglets, Parrots, and Hummingbirds classes enjoy a special activity called Show and Tell. 先日、本校にて年2回実施している校内健康診断を行いました。今回は、地域で信頼されている小児科医・北川先生にご来校いただき、全生徒を対象に診察をしていただきました。 子どもたちは事前にしっかり準備をし、喉や心音のチェックにも落ち着いて取り組むことができました。順番を守って並び、先生のお話をよく聞く姿から、日々の成長を感じることができました。 特に年少前Duckling（2〜3歳クラス）の子どもたちは、診察後に「お医者さん、好き！」と話してくれるほど✨初めての健康診断にもかかわらず、とても立派でした。 子どもたちが安心して過ごせる環境づくりと、心と体の健康を大切にした保育を行っています。 これからも、子どもたちが健康で、笑顔あふれる毎日を過ごせるよう、職員一同しっかりとサポートしてまいります。 Dr Kitagawa from the children’s clinic came to our school for our biannual preschool health check. All the children were prepared to check their mouth and heart beat. They did a great job lining up and listening to the doctor. 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのEaglets・Parrots・Hummingbirds クラス（年少〜年中）は、白山公園でのびのびと体を動かしています！ Parrotsクラス（年中クラス）は前回りの練習、Eagletsクラス（年長クラス）は後ろ回りにチャレンジ中✨ 走る・登る・挑戦する中で、体力だけでなく「やってみよう！」という気持ちも育っています。クラスを越えて一緒に遊ぶ時間は、子どもたちにとって大切な学びの場です。 Our Eaglets, Parrots, and Hummingbirds （年少年少～年長クラス）love running and playing together at Shiroyama Park! The Parrots are proudly practicing forward rolls, while the Eaglets are bravely challenging themselves with backward rolls.

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクール年少前Ducklings クラス（2〜3歳）は、今日も楽しく学びました✨フェルトの表情カードを使って、「うれしい」「かなしい」「びっくり」など、感情について学習。 その後は大盛り上がりのミュージカルチェア（椅子取りゲーム）🎵🪑ルールを守ること、お友だちを応援することも、遊びながら自然に身につけています。 日に日に増える笑顔と自信。子どもたちの成長がとても誇らしいです🌈 Our Ducklings class (ages 2–3) had so much fun learning and playing today! 🐥 We explored feelings and emotions using soft felt faces – happy, sad, surprised, and more – and practiced naming how we feel. Then we got moving with an exciting game of musical chairs, learning to listen, take turns, and cheer for our friends! 🎵🪑 So proud of their smiles, kindness, and growing confidence every day ✨

Our 2025 season ended with a wonderful Christmas Concert, Christmas party and so many fantastic memories.In January the theme for Preschool Course is “Fun and Play “「楽しもう!」with many activities such as playing Hide and Seek, talking about healthy food and making a friendship mural together. They love doing interesting art projects like painting with balls to create patterns and lines. They also enjoy running and playing at Shiroyama Park with their friends. 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年中Red & Purple Parrots クラスの子どもたちは、アートとクラフトが大好き！Creative Expression の時間では、絵の具やテープ、パイプクリーナー、粘土など、さまざまな素材を使って自由に表現しています。 Red Parrots はスパイダーアートに挑戦🕷️Purple Parrots はゾウのようにスタンプして、ダイナミックな足あとアートを楽しみました🐘 遊びの中で、想像力・集中力・表現力が自然と育っています。みんな、とてもよく頑張りました！ Our Red and Purple Parrots Class children love arts and crafts! During their Creative Expression lessons, they use a variety of art materials to paint, create, splat, mould and color their creations. The Red Parrots Class made amazing spider art using tape, pipecleaners and clay. The Purple Parrots children enjoyed stomping like elephants on paper to create animal footprints. Great job everyone!
