Our little Ducklings Class (2～3 years of age) had so much fun playing in the ball pit during free play time. They enjoyed rolling around, jumping and throwing balls around with their friends.

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達は兵庫県西宮市にあるキッザニア甲子園にお仕事体験に行ってきました！このプログラムは年に一回の大人気プログラム。キッザニアではイングリッシュプログラムに参加し、消防士、おむすび屋さん、アナウンサー、ピザ屋さんなどの体験をしました。子ども達は目を輝かせながら、最高の1日を過ごしました。 We went to Kidzania Koshien in Hyogo Prefecture for a day of fun and learning. Students from KIPS participated in the English Program and enjoyed being firefighters, making rice balls, work at a voice recording studio and work in a clinic. It was so much fun!

Our Parrots students (age 4-5 years) painted with opposite colors! This month the theme is “All About Opposites” and our preschoolers learned about opposite colors. Children used colors like red and green, black and white, red and blue to create wonderful, colorful paintings.

七夕 〜日本の伝統行事も楽しみます〜覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達は七夕に何のお願い事をしたのかな？今年は将来何になりたいかを書く子ども達が多い年でした。提灯の飾りも作り笹の枝に飾りました。お互いに出来上がった短冊を見せ合い楽しんでいる様子が見られました。 Students at Kakuozan International Preschool celebrated Tanabata (Star Festival) this month. We enjoyed making various crafts and then decorating our school bamboo decoration. What kinds of wishes did they write this year?

今年も覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの1年に1度のスポーツデイ（運動会）が開催され、子どもたちの元気な声と笑顔があふれる素晴らしい一日となりました！年少から年長までの園児たちは、✨ かけっこ　✨ リレー　✨ 障害物競走　✨玉入れ　✨ 綱引き　など、たくさんの競技に挑戦！この日のためにたくさん練習してきた成果を、思いきり発揮してくれました！また、保護者の皆様にも二人三脚・リレー・綱引きにご参加いただき、イベントを一緒に盛り上げてくださったことに心より感謝申し上げます。チームワーク、挑戦する心、そして応援する気持ち～子どもたちにとって忘れられない一日になったことでしょう！ Our annual Sports Day event was a wonderful day full of high spirits, laughter and amazing team spirits. Our preschoolers enjoyed events such as sprints, relays, obstacle courses and tug o war. Everyone practiced so hard for this day! Great job! Thank you to our parents who participated in the 3 Legged race, relay and tug-o-war.

夏の訪れとともに、覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは、毎年恒例のウォーターファイト（水あそび）がスタート！ 先日は、年中Parrotsクラスと年長Eagletsクラスの子どもたちが、スクール近くの「揚輝荘（@yokiso）公園」でウォーターファイト（水あそび）を楽しみました！ お友だちと一緒に水をかけ合って、笑顔いっぱい♪暑い夏にぴったりの、最高に楽しいアクティビティとなりました！ 自然の中でのびのびと過ごす時間は、子どもたちの心と体を育ててくれます☀️ It’s summer at KIPS which means… it’s time for water play!! Our Parrots and Eaglets students were lucky enough to have water fights at the local Yokiso Japanese Garden near our school. What an awesome way to cool off and play together in this hot weather!!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年中Parrotsクラスの子どもたちは、今月「空にあるもの（Things in the Sky）」をテーマに英語で楽しく学んでいます。今週はアートとサイエンスを融合したアクティビティで、自分だけの星座（コンステレーション）を作りました。完成した作品を暗い部屋の壁に映し出して、まるで本物の夜空のように楽しみました。 テーブルの下に潜って、星や模様をみんなで照らし合う活動では、子どもたちのワクワクが止まりませんでした！英語でのやりとりを通じて、自然と語彙や表現力も身につけています。 Parrots children are learning about “Things in the Sky” this month! We enjoyed making and creating different constellations and then shining them on the wall. It was fun to crawl under a dark table and shine pattens and stars together.

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年長Eagletsクラスの子どもたちが、音楽を聴きながら「海」をテーマにした絵画制作を行いました。 筆やスポンジ、指など、さまざまな画材や描き方を自由に使い、音楽から感じ取ったイメージを自分だけの海の絵として表現しました。 音楽に耳を傾けながら、色とりどりの絵の具で描かれた作品には、それぞれの個性や感性が溢れていて、見ているこちらまで楽しくなるほど！ 「アート」と「音楽」を通じて、子どもたちの創造力や表現力がどんどん広がっていく様子がとても印象的でした。 Eaglets students (5～6 years of age) listened to music and painted their own original picture of the ocean and sea. Using a variety of colors and medium like paintbrushes, sponges and fingers, it was amazing to see their own unique interpretation while listening to music.

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの1-2歳Hatchlingsクラスの子どもたちが、ランニングフィールドで元気いっぱい外遊びを楽しみました！ この日は天気にも恵まれ、シャボン玉で遊んだり、自分たちで作った手作りの凧（たこ）を持って思いきり走り回ったりと、大はしゃぎ！ 凧は紙皿を使い、シールやカラフルなストリーマー（飾りテープ）で飾りつけをしました。自分の作った凧が風になびく姿を見て、子どもたちはとっても嬉しそうでした。 青空の下、自由に遊びながら季節の風を感じられた、素敵なひとときでした🌈 The Hatchlings went to the Running Field and played with bubbles. They also loved running with their hand crafted kites made from paper plates and decorated with streamers and stickers. The weather was perfect for playing outside. We had so much fun!!

今月はいよいよ、毎年恒例の覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの運動会がパロマ瑞穂アリーナで開催されます！子どもたちは、毎日元気いっぱいに練習に取り組んでいます✨みんなで「玉入れ」や「障害物競走」、「ダンス」や「かけっこ」など、さまざまな種目を楽しみながら練習しています。年中Parrotsクラスと年長Eagletsクラスの子どもたちは、「リレー」に向けてバトンの受け渡しを一生懸命に練習中！本番が待ちきれない様子で、みんなワクワクしています😊当日を楽しみにしています！Our annual Sports Day is coming up this month at the Paloma Mizuho Sports Arena and our preschoolers are practicing every day! We are enjoying doing the Ball in Net, obstacle courses, dances and sprints. The Parrots and Eaglets children are excited to participate in their relay races and are practicing passing and receiving the batons. Good luck and let’s have fun!
