New Year! New Parrots
The Parrots students enjoyed a fun day at the park playing with new friends and practicing hanging and rolling on the bar. Let’s enjoy our time together growing and learning together.
Hatchlings Outside at the Park, Circle Time
Our littlest preschoolers are called the Hatchlings and they love playing and learning every day. We enjoy going to the local park or open field and exploring nature when the weather is good. Recently Hatchlings are loving playing in the dirt, looking for bugs and chasing after bubbles. After a fun time outside, we continue the fun inside with singing and dancing during our Circle Time lessons.
Elementary Halloween Party!
Our elementary students love Halloween and this year we had an amazing party complete with crafts, trick or treat, a haunted house and simple cooking activities. Their costumes were awesome too!
秋の引き取り訓練・Autumn Earthquake Emergency Drill
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは、万が一、大きな地震が起こったことを予測し、年に2回保護者の方々にもご参加いただき引き取り訓練を行なっています。スクールは親御さんのいない中で大切なお子さんの命を預かる場所でもあります。どんなことが起こっても子ども達の命を守り、安全に親御さんに子ども達を引き渡せるようこのような訓練はとても大切になります。今回は授業中に地震が起きた設定です。地震が起こったら子ども達と先生はテーブルの下に隠れます。先生達は万が一のために笛を持っています。第1避難所であるグラウンドまで防災頭巾を被って避難し、そこで保護者にお子さんを引き渡しました。全員が先生達の指示をしっかり聞き、本番のように避難ができました。 This month at Kakuozan International Preschool, our preschoolers had a big earthquake drill. During class, the teachers practice with their students by hiding under tables and blowing the whistle. We then walk to a nearby field and await our parents arrival. It was just like a real drill so we were proud to see our students walking quietly and listening to their teachers. Good Job!
秋の遠足・Field Trip to Nagoya Aquarium
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは秋の遠足で名古屋水族館に出かけました。今回は自由が丘駅で集合し、電車に乗って水族館までみんなで行きました。電車の乗るのもワクワク、水族館に行くのも楽しみでしょうがない子ども達。イルカショーを観たり、シャチやベルーガ、魚達に出会い子ども達は最高の1日を過ごすことができました。 Our preschoolers (Eaglets, Parrots and Hummingbirds Class) enjoyed a wonderful day at Nagoya Aquarium! We met up nice and early at Jiyugaoka Station and caught the train. At the aquarium, children enjoyed watching the dolphin show, eating lunch, greeting the orcas, belugas, watching the feeding time and exploring together. What kind of fish and different animals did we see? The train ride back was long and many of us fell asleep. Good job everyone! It was an awesome day!
クリスマスコンサート(お遊戯会)・Christmas Concert 🎄
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのクリスマスコンサート(お遊戯会)が近づいてきました。子ども達は12月のコンサートに向けて歌やダンス、英語劇の練習を始めています。写真は去年のクリスマスコンサートです。 It’s that time of the year again when preschoolers at Kakuozan International Preschool start practicing for the annual Christmas Concert. This event is one of the biggest events at our school and children from our toddlers Ducklings class, all the way to our Eaglets are busy learning new dances and plays. Thank you to our parents for always supporting by preparing beautiful costumes. We are looking forward to upcoming rehearsals! Last December 2021 the Parrots and Eaglets students performed plays (The Gingerbread Man, and The Elves and the Shoemaker), while the Hummingbirds and Ducklings danced in the cutest outfits. What dances and plays will we enjoy this year?
読み聞かせ・Storytime at Preschool
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達はストーリータイム(読み聞かせ)が大好き！読み聞かせをする事で子ども達の読む力を伸ばし、想像力を掻き立て、様々なことに興味を持たせ、学ぶことが大好きになるなど良いことがたくさんあります。子ども達は本を自分達で読むことやお友達と一緒に読むことも大好きです。 スクールの子ども達はスカラスティック社を通して大好きな絵本を購入することができるんですよ。 Our preschoolers at Kakuozan International Preschool love story! Reading books with children helps to develop their literacy skills, expands their imagination, sparks their curiosity and gives them a love of learning. Our young learners learn how to look after and treasure books and also enjoy reading with their friends. Every few month students at KIPS receive a scholastic pamphlet and they can buy books that they love!
次年度年少のランチタイム・Ducklings Lunch Time
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのDucklingsクラス(次年度年少)の子ども達のランチタイム♪みんなランチが大好き！ビブを自分でつけられる子もいます。ランチの前はみんなで “Open, Shut Them,” の歌を歌い、フォークやスプーンを使って自分で食べる練習もします。先生に”Help me, please! “と準備をお願いすることもできます。楽しいランチタイムの後は片付けをしてフリープレイ。大好きなお友達や先生と一緒に遊びます。 Our Yellow and Orange Ducklings love lunch time (who doesn’t?!) They practice putting on their bibs or ask their teachers “Help me please!” After we sing our “Open, Shut Them,” lunch time song, it’s time to eat. They enjoy using spoons, forks and even chopsticks. Lunch time is fun for Ducklings (^▽^)/ After they clean up they can enjoy play time with their friends!
Eaglets P.E. Class
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達は身体を動かすことが大好き。毎月、前転、後転、側転、逆立ち、ブリッジ、跳び箱、鉄棒、縄跳びなどテーマを決めて練習に励んでいます。最近は体育の時間に跳び箱に挑戦！6段をいとも簡単に跳べる子ども達もいます。年少さんからしてきた練習の成果が出てきました。お友達と一緒に身体を動かし、新しいことに挑戦する楽しさも体感します。 Eaglets class are active and love to move their bodies! In the spring we went to Higashiyama Zoo and enjoyed not only seeing the different animals, but also had fun playing long jump after lunch time. Recently we have started to challenge ourselves with the vault box during P.E class and are aiming for 6. Some of us are already leaping over 6 levels with ease! It is fun and exciting to be able to exercise with our friends.
年長クラス、年中クラスの水遊び・Eaglets and Parrots Water Play
Our Eaglets and Parrots students loved their water play days. On a fun day like this, many students come rushing to school full of energy and ready to get wet. The Eaglets students made a plastic boat as part of a science experiment. The Parrots decorated little plastic bottles to fill and pour out water. We loved splashing the water and getting our friends soaking wet. What a fantastic way to end the summer!
