This week, our Ducklings had a wonderful time celebrating Tanabata (Star Festival) while exploring the exciting world of colours!

During circle time, we learned about the Tanabata story and talked about the colourful decorations that are traditionally used to celebrate this special Japanese festival. The children enjoyed making their own Tanabata decorations, practicing their fine motor skills as they folded, glued, and decorated their creations.

Our colour theme continued through a variety of hands-on activities. The Ducklings practiced identifying and naming different colours through songs, games, and matching activities. They loved sorting colourful objects and discovering how colours can be found all around us.
