覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達はストーリータイム(読み聞かせ)が大好き！読み聞かせをする事で子ども達の読む力を伸ばし、想像力を掻き立て、様々なことに興味を持たせ、学ぶことが大好きになるなど良いことがたくさんあります。子ども達は本を自分達で読むことやお友達と一緒に読むことも大好きです。 スクールの子ども達はスカラスティック社を通して大好きな絵本を購入することができるんですよ。 Our preschoolers at Kakuozan International Preschool love story! Reading books with children helps to develop their literacy skills, expands their imagination, sparks their curiosity and gives them a love of learning. Our young learners learn how to look after and treasure books and also enjoy reading with their friends. Every few month students at KIPS receive a scholastic pamphlet and they can buy books that they love!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのDucklingsクラス(次年度年少)の子ども達のランチタイム♪みんなランチが大好き！ビブを自分でつけられる子もいます。ランチの前はみんなで “Open, Shut Them,” の歌を歌い、フォークやスプーンを使って自分で食べる練習もします。先生に”Help me, please! “と準備をお願いすることもできます。楽しいランチタイムの後は片付けをしてフリープレイ。大好きなお友達や先生と一緒に遊びます。 Our Yellow and Orange Ducklings love lunch time (who doesn’t?!) They practice putting on their bibs or ask their teachers “Help me please!” After we sing our “Open, Shut Them,” lunch time song, it’s time to eat. They enjoy using spoons, forks and even chopsticks. Lunch time is fun for Ducklings (^▽^)/　After they clean up they can enjoy play time with their friends!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの子ども達は身体を動かすことが大好き。毎月、前転、後転、側転、逆立ち、ブリッジ、跳び箱、鉄棒、縄跳びなどテーマを決めて練習に励んでいます。最近は体育の時間に跳び箱に挑戦！6段をいとも簡単に跳べる子ども達もいます。年少さんからしてきた練習の成果が出てきました。お友達と一緒に身体を動かし、新しいことに挑戦する楽しさも体感します。 Eaglets class are active and love to move their bodies! In the spring we went to Higashiyama Zoo and enjoyed not only seeing the different animals, but also had fun playing long jump after lunch time. Recently we have started to challenge ourselves with the vault box during P.E class and are aiming for 6. Some of us are already leaping over 6 levels with ease! It is fun and exciting to be able to exercise with our friends.

Our Eaglets and Parrots students loved their water play days. On a fun day like this, many students come rushing to school full of energy and ready to get wet. The Eaglets students made a plastic boat as part of a science experiment. The Parrots decorated little plastic bottles to fill and pour out water. We loved splashing the water and getting our friends soaking wet. What a fantastic way to end the summer!

Splash, splash!! The Hummingbirds were so excited to play in the pool! Every summer at Kakuozan International Preschool we love playing outside with water fights or pool play. Hummingbirds students jumped, kicked and splashed each other and got drenched. It was a great way to cool off during the hot summer month!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールではクレイジーヘア/ハットデーを開催しました。当園では毎月子ども達が喜ぶワクワクするようなイベントを行っています。動物が髪の毛に住んでいたり、髪がスターバックスフラペチーノになっていたり、カラフルな色だったり、たくさんの面白いクレイジーな髪型で登園してくれました。保護者の皆さまの創造性に驚かされたクレイジーヘア／ハットデーでした。ご協力頂きありがとうございました♪ We love Spirit Days and every year we look forward to this fun event! This year students came to Kakuozan International Preschool with their craziest hair, funniest hat or both! Some children came as animals, food and drink while others wore multicolored wigs and handmade hats. Thank you to our parents for their support and amazing creativity. It was fun to show and share with our friends and classmates.

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのサマースクール3週目も楽しい世界のお祭りのアクティビティでいっぱいです。ターゲットゲーム作りや妖精ケーキを作ったり、中国のお祭りでよく見るランタンも作成しました。覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのサマースクールに参加していただいた皆さま、最高の3週間をありがとうございました！英語だけの3週間をインターナショナルスクールで過ごすことで子ども達の英語力もアップしています！またウィンタースクールか来年のサマースクールでお会いできることを楽しみにしています！ The final week of Summer School at Kakuozan International Preschool was full of fun festival activities like making a target game, cooking fairy bread, making a Chinese lantern craft while the Elementary students visited the car museum. Thank you to everyone for joining us this year at Summer School and we look forward to seeing you again next year!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのサマースクール2週目も楽しいアクティビティでいっぱいです！リングトスゲームを自分で作ったり、楽しいペインティング、パンケーキのクッキングやサマーパフェも作りました。大好きな宝探しゲームでは宝物を見つけるためのヒントをスクールの中を走り回って探しました。小学生クラスは名古屋科学館へ遠足にも出かけました。 The second week of Summer School at Kakuozan International Preschool was busy and fun with many activities! Students made ring toss games, cooked pancakes and enjoyed a summer parfait, did lots of painting and dashed around the school to find all the hints in a treasure hunt! The Elementary students also went to the Nagoya Science Museum for a Field Trip! What a great week.

今年の覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのサマースクールテーマは”世界のお祭り”！。子ども達は様々な国のお祭りについてゲームや工作、楽しいアクティビティを通して学び、体験しました。サマースクール初めの週は私たちが住んでいる日本と遠く離れた国ブラジルのお祭りについて。日本の夏祭りでするヨーヨー釣りやブラジルのお祭りでつけるマスクを作りました。その他にも宝探しゲームやペインティング、トレイルミックス(お菓子ミックス)を作るクッキングなど子ども達は最高の夏休みの1週間を過ごしました。 The theme for Summer School 2022 at Kakuozan International Preschool this year was “Festivals Around the World!” Students enjoyed learning about how different countries celebrations and learned through guided activities, games, and of course lots of fun. The first week was very busy exploring the Japanese summer festival game of yo-yo fishing, making a Brazilian festival mask, making trail mix, enjoying a summer themed treasure hunt and lots of painting! It was an awesome week and we hope that everyone who came enjoyed themselves.

パラシュートの周りを歩いたり、持ち上げたり、その下をくぐったり子供たちはパラシュートが大好きです。Up! and down! と子どもたちは大喜び！好きな色の部分を掴んでみんなでぐるぐる回ったりします。楽しい時間を過ごせました。 Hatchlings Class love to play with the parachute. We can walk around in a circle and hold the parachute up and down. It’s even fun to go under as well! Activities that involve walking, jumping, balancing and moving up and down are important for our little learners as they develop their gross motor skills.
