9月に入りましたがまだ暑い日が続きますね。覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの1〜2歳児Hatchlingsクラスではプール遊びを楽しみました！このクラスで初めてクラスの先生やお友達と一緒にプールに入ることができましたね。来年も楽しみにしていてください。Summer is officially over but it’s still hot! Hatchlings enjoyed playing in the pool during the hot summer months. It was their first time splashing in the pool together with their teachers and they had a lot of fun. We are looking forward to do it again next year in Ducklings.
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年中Parrotsクラスではサイエンスの実験を行いました。皆さんウーブレックを知っていますか？ウーブレックとはコーンスターチと水を混ぜたものに色を付けた液体なのに固体にもなれる不思議な物体です。 子ども達は実際にウーブレックを手で触り、 “Is it liquid or solid?” (これは液体かな？固体かな？)の質問に自分の感じたように答えていました。 What a fun science lesson. Oobleck is a gooey mixture of cornstarch and water. Is it a liquid or a solid? 待ちに待った覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールのスポーツデー(運動会)を開催しました！日頃から毎週のランニングプログラムやマット運動、マラソン大会など運動にも一生懸命取り組む子ども達、この日を楽しみにしていました。今年は瑞穂区のパロマ瑞穂スタジアムで開催しました。コロナ後、初めてプリスクールの子ども達全員とその家族、先生が一緒に参加できたイベントとなりました。1日を通してそこにいた全員が心から楽しい時間を過ごせたスポーツデーとなりました。かけっこや、リレー、障害物競走、ダンス、玉入れ、綱引きなどベストを尽くし、お友達を応援し、お友達、家族や先生と楽しみました。また来年を楽しみにしています♪ Our annual Sports Day was held at the Mizuho Paloma Arena with all families invited. The first time since the pandemic we were all able to come together as one and enjoy a fun-filled day of competition and sports. Children and parents participated in sprints, relay races, obstacle courses, dances and tug-of-war. It was such a great day! We are excited to do it again next year
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少Hummingbirdsクラスでは今月にテーマである動物について学んでいます。羽を触りながら様々な鳥についての話を興味を持つながら聞いています。フエルトと羽を絵の具につけそれらで独自のデザインで絵を描きました。また大きな鳥をみんなで描き、自分たちの作品と一緒に教室いっぱいに飾りました。とても楽しいアートレッスンでした！ The Hummingbirds class are learning about animals this month. They touched feathers and talked about different birds. Using pieces of felt and feathers, they dipped them into trays of paint and created their own designs. Children also decorated and painted a large bird and hung their pictures around the classroom. It was a fun and colorful project!
覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの今月のテーマは「素晴らしい動物について」年少前クラスDucklingsクラスではグループで大きな紙にシマシマ模様や水玉模様を描くアートレッスンを行いました。何の動物を描いていると思いますか？楽しい色付けアクティビティが終わり、全員でアート全体を見てみると、そこにはシマウマとキリンが登場しました！ The theme this month is “All About Amazing Animals.” The Ducklings children had a fun activity painting stripes and sponging spots onto large sheets on paper. What kind of animal were they painting? After they finished this fun, group activity, they all took a look. It was a zebra and a giraffe! Wow!
どんな動物が飛び跳ねるか知っていますか？年長Eagletsクラスではカエルやカンガルーのようにジャンプをする練習をしました。床には50cmごとにテープで印がついています。どれぐらいジャンプできるかな？このレッスンでは運動能力を高めるのと同時に算数も学びます。子ども達は50,100,150,200cmと計算もできるようになりました。 What animals jump? Eaglets class practiced jumping like frogs, kangaroos and then measured how far they did! 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは夏に2つの水遊びを行います。一つはウォーターファイト！もう一つはプール遊び！年少Hummingbirdsクラスの子ども達は大好きなプールの時間を思い切り楽しみました。暑い夏にはやっぱりプールですよね！ During the hot summer months, the students love playing in the pool to cool off. Hummingbirds students took turns playing in the pool, splashing water on each other and playing with toys. It was a fun, exciting activity for them to enjoy.
年中Parrotsクラスは好きな材料を使って自分達の好きなように自由にアートを作成します。覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールではこのような子ども達が自分で考えるレッスンを多く取り入れています。 What is process art? Process art is a wonderful way for young learners to experiment using art. It focuses on the process of creation rather than the finished product. As a child-led activity, Parrots were given free reign to choose their materials and patterns. They chatted with each other as they made their own artwork. There are no right or wrong answers when it comes to art!! Parrots enjoyed sharing their materials and showing their friends and teachers what they made!
