覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少Hummingbirdsクラスは鉄棒にぶら下がる練習を公園でしました。子供たちはどうやって長く鉄棒にぶら下がっていられるか、どうやったら地面に足がつかないようになるか、自分で考え楽しく練習していました。このぶら下がりは前回りをする第一段階のステップです。これから子ども達が前回りや、逆上がりができるようになっていくのが楽しみです。 Hummingbirds are practicing hanging from the bar! They are learning how to hold on and then let their feet dangle. This will be their first step to learning how to do forward rolls. Let’s do our best to grow big and strong!!!

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年長Eagletsクラスは走ることが大好きです。毎週のモーニングランニングプログラム(かけっこ)では、スタミナを作り、走り切ることや、リレー、他のお友達と一緒に何周も一生懸命走ることなどを学びます。毎週子供たちは強くなっていきます。Every week when the weather is good, Eaglets go running and practice their laps, sprints and relays. It is fun to get faster and stronger every week.

インターナショナルプリスクールの年少前Ducklingクラスではクリスマスツリーにオーナメントを飾り付けました。子供たちは今月やってくるクリスマスをとても楽しみにしています。サンタがやってきますよ！We are excited for Chrsistmas this month. Santa is coming so the Ducklings prepared by decorating their Christmas tree with ornaments and baubles. It looks so bright and festive！

子供たちは外遊びが大好きです。覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールでは、朝のモーニングランニングプログラムに加え、公園遊びに行ったり、グランドに行ったりします。同じクラスのお友達と遊ぶのも楽しいし、上や下のクラスの他の学年のお友達と遊ぶのも大好きです。Several times a week we go outside to Shiroyama Park or the Shiroyama field to run, play, enjoy nature and sometimes get a little dirty! It is fun to spend time with not only our classmates, but also our little and big friends from the other classes too.

Dr Kitagawa came to our school for our health check. Everyone lined up nicely and waited patiently. The stethescope was a little cold, but everyone tried their best! Children in the North Building could open their mouth very big and say “ahhh!” Good job

We are enjoying this cool weather and many fun fall themed activities. Eaglets and Parrots students put on blindfolds and played Pin the Tail on the Scarecrow! It was a lot of fun to listen to our friends give directions like “to the left!, to the right”

As the theme this month is “Light and Dark,” our Eaglets students tried an interesting activity. Blindfolded, they used crayons to draw different shapes picked out from a box. After taking off their blindfolds, they compared their drawings. How accurate was their drawing? Was it easy or difficult to do? It was a lot of fun. 覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年長Eagletsクラスでは目隠しをして絵を描くという面白いアクティビティをしました。今月のテーマは「暗さと明るさ」。目隠しをして箱の中から選んだ形と同じ形をクレヨンで画用紙に書いてみます。描き終わったら目隠しを外し自分が描いた絵と選ばれた形とを見比べてみます。どれぐらい正確に描けたかな？簡単だった？難しかった？先生の質問に各々が答えます。楽しいアクティビティでした。

覚王山インターナショナルプリスクールの年少、年中、年長クラスは毎月子ども版のプレゼンテーションShow and Tellがあります。話すテーマは子ども達に沿った、「私の家族」、「好きな英語の歌」、「好きな食べ物」などです。時には子ども達は教室でお友達みんなの前に立つと緊張することもありますが何度か練習していくうちに自信を持って話せるようになっていきます。お友達からの質問にも堂々と答えることができます！ Every month our Eaglets, Parrots and Hummingbirds students in the North Campus have Show adn Tell. The themes range from topics such as “My Family,” “My Favorite English Song,” and most recently “My Favorite Food.” Sometimes it can be a little nervewracking to stand in front of others to speak, but with practice and encouragement all our students will grow to speak confidently! Good

Hummingbirds class students are learning about light and dark this month. After talking about how to encourage and help each other, they painted bright idea flashlights to represent their ideas!
